1974 - Ravi Shankar is hospitalized after suffering chest pains while on tour.

1973 - The Who and their companions spent a night in jail in Montreal following $6,000 worth of hotel destruction inflicted after their show at the Forum.

1972 - Steely Dan make the Billboard 200 for the first time when their debut album, Can't Buy a Thrill.

1970 - Eric Burdon launches a bumper sticker campaign aimed at fighting VD. For every donation to the LA Free Clinic, Burdon sends out a bumper sticker that says Curb the Clap. 

1969 - George Harrison joins the Delaney & Bonnie and Friends tour as a guitarist, making this the first tour of a Beatle since 1966.

1969 - The Rolling Stones stopped at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Alabama, where they spend three days recording the songs "Wild Horses," "You Gotta Move" and "Brown Sugar."
