Cut Traded Fired Retired Podcast: Caleb Hanie

Many NFL fans remember him as the quarterback that almost got the Bears into Super Bowl 45. Caleb Hanie was the 3rd string quarterback for Chicago when he was thrust into the NFC Championship Game against the Packers after halftime. Down 14-0, Caleb rallied the Bears back into the game, but with a chance to tie it in the final minute, he threw an interception and the Bears lost 21-14.

Of course, Caleb’s story is much more than one game. He was a standout high school athlete in Texas, hit numerous milestones as a tough quarterback at Colorado State University and after proving himself as a college free agent, spent several years in the NFL, including a season with the Broncos backing up Peyton Manning.

After the pros, Caleb entered the business world as an entrepreneur. Eventually he made his way into the financial industry where he found a niche helping guide college and pro athletes as a financial advisor with RBC Wealth Management.
